Jillian Forster

Jill has been dancing her entire life and is now enjoying her first year teaching and choreographing for Northeast Ohio Dance. Jill holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education from Kent State University. In her time at Kent State she has had the opportunity to dance in both faculty and student choreographed concerts. She made her choreographic debut in the Student Dance Festival 2008 with her piece entitled, The Weight of Water. Jill was also a member of the Kent Dance Ensemble under the artistic direction of Kimberly Karpanty for two years. As an ensemble member she has had the honor of working with guest artists, Tommy Parlon and Lisa Locke. Jill has had professional dance experience performing as a guest artist in the Verlezza Dance performances of Snow Tails and 3 Minutes and 30 Years. Then last year as a Verlezza Dance company member in the performances of Up is Down and New Tales, Old Tales, Snow Tails, and Voices. Jill continues to work with Verlezza Dance as a company member participating in lecture performances, dance workshops, and concerts. Last December, she had the opportunity to dance in New York City with Verlezza Dance at the 92nd Street Y in the concert, Claire Porter Presents. Jill would like to take this time to thank her family and friends for their constant love and support.
